Selkirk pair accused of brutal treatment leading to dog's death

Bethlehem police have charged two people from Selkirk with aggravated cruelty to animals.

The department no longer releases mug shots because of a new state law. However, they identify the suspects as 25-year-old Desirae Fantroy and 28-year-old TaVon McCall.

Police got a report last month of a semi-conscious dog found inside a plastic bag in a dumpster on Maple Avenue. The dog was immediately brought to a veterinary clinic where it passed away. 

Police say it was severely malnourished and lacked any regular care.
