Albany man sentenced for 2018 burglary

An Albany man is headed to prison for eight years, after pleading guilty to burglary.

Devon Gibson, 47, was sentenced Friday in Albany County Court.

He admitted last month to going to a North Allen Street home in January of last year to steal property.

The residents woke up, called 911 and were able to detain Gibson.

This was Gibson's fourth burglary-related criminal conviction.
