Man arrested in Saratoga Springs assault case

FIRST ON 13: There has been an arrest in an assault case in Saratoga Springs, which landed a man in the hospital with broken bones is his face.

Police arrested Diego Torres on Thursday morning, a few days after sharing surveillance images from Saratoga Springs businesses.

Police say Torres attacked a 40-year-old man on the corner of Caroline Street and Maple Avenue early in the morning on May 12.

The victim, who didn't know Torres, needed surgery to repair facial fractures.

The 25-year-old Torres, who was on felony probation at the time of the alleged attack, was charged with assault.

The woman in the photos will not be charged.
