Neighbors help neighbors dig out from snow

In Rensselaer County, neighbors were helping neighbors dig out on Wednesday. One of them was Dawn Parent of Troy. Parent spent hours with her son clearing sidewalks and stoops in her neighborhood. A young neighbor also joined in.
"We're trying to help out people like the elderly people and people with children that need to get out with their strollers. So we're shoveling trying to get everybody shoveled out and making a pathway for the bus in the morning so the kids don't have to go through a foot of snow," explained Parent.

They say there are a lot of elderly people & some with disabilities who can’t get out. So they go door to door to shovel— just to help out neighbors in Troy. pic.twitter.com/VI3KKNpT21&

The best part, they say, is getting it done now before the weather gets worse. The worst part is how slippery it is underneath the snow. pic.twitter.com/7LIHYqH5iN— Kumi (@KumiTuckerWNYT) February 7, 2018
