Dozens of people who hung Christmas lights this weekend, just found themselves in trouble with their landlord.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star are reporting they were all given handwritten lease violations for decorating the outside of their apartments at Sisson Reserve. The apartments are located on Stonehill Drive in Glens Falls.

The senior vice president of property management said some people complained about light projectors last year-- which led to the ban.

After Facebook posts asking for support showed up, the Rochester-based corporate office backed down.

People were allowed to hang lights around their doors and windows yesterday-- but no other decorations would be allowed.
