Investigators: Group stole $700 in drugs from Amsterdam Hannaford

AMSTERDAM - Montgomery County sheriff's deputies say they caught a group that stole hundreds of dollars' worth of drugs from the Hannaford in Amsterdam.

They say a call came around 7:20 Sunday night for a larceny in progress.

A patrol car pulled over the suspected vehicle on Route 30. They say they found about $700 worth of over-the-counter medication taken from the grocery store.

All six suspects were inside. They were sent to the Montgomery County Jail.
