Schools dismiss early to beat snow

Instead of closing for the entire day, many schools in the Capital Region dismissed early.

Superintendents have to make that call early, taking into account what’s best for students and also how many snow days have already been used this year.

The hope was to get all students home before the worst of the storm hit later in the day.
