SCHENECTADY - Eleven people who are all over the age of 100 years old were honored in Schenectady on Thursday. Collectively, they represent 1,122 years of life. All 11 of them live at Kingsway Community in Schenectady.

They've lived through World War I, the Great Depression and other things many people have only read about in history books.

They may have voted for FDR or Hoover – and seen the invention of television long before they saw a television camera.

They worked in City Hall and on the railroad.

A lot of family came by for the special celebration. It truly was a party more than 100 years in the making.
