Emily De Vito is a general assignment reporter for WNYT. She joined NewsChannel 13 in September 2017. She started out as a producer and quickly worked her way to becoming a reporter. Emily has covered everything from breaking news, political elections, and human interest stories.

She began her broadcasting career as a multimedia journalist with WBNG in Binghamton, NY where she was an anchor and reporter. Emily received an M.S. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. During her time in the program, Emily worked in Washington D.C. reporting for WTAJ-TV, a news station in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Emily received her undergraduate degree from Elon University and graduated with a B.A. in Media Arts & Entertainment: Broadcast and New Media and minors in Dance Performance and Professional Writing.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys exercising and spending time with family and friends. She also likes to spread awareness about organ donation, which has impacted her family greatly. Emily grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, but has ties to the Capital Region. Her father grew up in Mechanicville and her mother in Loudenville.
