Trade show for horseracing enthusiasts opens

SARATOGA SPRINGS - A fan fest and trade show for horseracing enthusiasts opened Monday in Saratoga Springs. It’s called Equestricon.

There will be a chance for fans to get autographs and talk with Triple Crown-winning jockeys like Ron Turcotte and Steve Cauthen.

There will be vendors letting you design your own jockey silks or name a racehorse.

There will be on site appraisals if you have horse racing memorabilia.

There will also be plenty of panel discussion.

Equestricon will be held Monday and Tuesday, mostly at the Saratoga Springs City Center. Doors open at 8 a.m.
