Event helps showcase what Stephentown has to offer

STEPHENTOWN -- People in Stephentown spent their weekend showing off what their town has to offer.

"Celebrate Stephentown" was held this weekend. More than twenty locations held events throughout the weekend, showing off the products and services the town has to offer.

Organizers say they wanted to show that even though it's a quiet place, it's a great place to live and visit.

“It turns out we have a lot of home-based businesses, we have a lot of innovative things going on, and it's just not the kind of thing they make a lot of noise about," said event co-organizer Scott Menhinick. "We wanted to take an opportunity to show some of those things off to people."

The events featured art, music, demonstrations, giveaways, open houses, scenic hikes, and a 5K trail race.
