They say there's nothing more dangerous than a smart criminal. However, that's not what state police were dealing with when tracking down an escapee from Washington County.

According to police, Jill Basset of Hampton was under house arrest -- which had been granted so she could raise her newborn child. Problem is she cut off her ankle monitor and disappeared.

Investigators checked out her Facebook page - which yielded clues like, "Seattle Bound," her new home address in Washington state and the name of her employer.

Bassett will be returned to New York, where she will now face up to seven years for a burglary charge.
