Fatal crash in Rensselaerville under investigation

RENSSELAERVILLE - One person is dead after an early morning crash on Sunday. 

Albany Police say at around 2:30 a.m, a report came in of a crash involving a single vehicle at the intersection of Pond Hill Road and County Route 10.

When police arrived, they found 19-year-old Harley A. Kelly who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Deputies also found a 19-year-old female passenger from Middleburgh who was unresponsive and not breathing. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman's identity has not been released. 

Kelly was evaluated by Albany County medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center with injuries. He was arrested for one count of driving while intoxicated and numerous other vehicle and traffic law violations. 

The crash is still under investigation.
