Two people killed in Schoharie County crash

SEWARD - Two people have died in a Schoharie County crash.

Police say a 16-year-old from Fort Plain was heading southbound on Route 145 in the town of Seward Monday afternoon when he crossed the median, went off the road and hit trees head-on.

Two passengers died at the scene. The driver was taken to Albany Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. So far, no charges have been filed.

Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District is providing grief counselors for students.
