The FBI is now investigating the sudden shutdown of Clifton Park-based payroll company, MyPayrollHR.

The shutdown last week left 4,000 employers scrambling nationwide. In some cases, deposited paychecks were actually withdrawn from people's accounts.

The reason for the shutdown is still unclear.

Gov. Cuomo already called on the Department of Financial Services to investigate. Officials with the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York are also asking affected employees to file claims.
