The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given the green light for emergency authorization for a coronavirus antibody treatment.

The therapy was developed by Regeneron, which has a facility in Rensselaer.

This cocktail is the same one given to President Trump when he contracted COVID-19 in October.

Regeneron submitted an emergency use application after pre-clinical studies showed the therapy reduced the amount of the virus and associated damage in the lungs of non-human primates.
