Fire damages Troy home

The cause of a house fire in Troy is under investigation.    

The fire broke out around 4:30 p.m. on Monday at 254 Second Street.     


No one was home at the time.    

Firefighters were able to knock it down quickly.    

The homeowner talked to NewsChannel 13 and told us she's lived there since 1995 and bought it when it was abandoned so she could fix it up.

The Red Cross is providing assistance.
