Two firefighters among four people hurt in Pittsfield fire

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Two residents and two firefighters were hurt in a fire that destroyed a Pittsfield home.

Two people were taken to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation from the fire on Burke Avenue around 6 p.m. Sunday night.

Two firefighters were also checked out at the hospital, one with a knee injury. Five people were left homeless.

So far, there is no word on what caused the fire.
