Neighbors say a man and his two dogs walked out of the home shortly after the fire began.

This is the second time the owners have lost their home. Severe storm damage sent trees into it back in 2003.

There are no reports of injuries.

The Niverville Fire Chief says the house collapsed within about 10 - 15 minutes of the fire starting. About a dozen mutual aid crews were called in to help.

Columbia County Fire Investigators are on scene.
