June 04, 2019 04:47 PM

A fire on Main Street in Rotterdam Junction on Monday appears to have started accidentally, says the fire chief. However, state and county fire investigators are still looking into the cause.

The fire started Monday afternoon and burned for hours.

Two firefighters were hurt.

The chief says a missing cat was found alive in the building, in an area that had only smoke and water damage.
