GLOVERSVILLE - A fire in Gloversville tore through a two family house on Summer Street just before midnight on Wednesday evening.

Crews say it wasn't easy because of the heavy smoke and the heat from the fire, so they had to call in additional help.

When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor.

The fire chief says no one was living inside the home at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.

The cause is under investigation.
