Storms looked at as possible cause of multiple Hoosick Falls fires

HOOSICK FALLS - Wednesday's storms are to blame for several house fires in Hoosick Falls.

High winds brought down wires at First and Nixon, and those wires started burning.

Firefighters tell NewsChannel 13 there were active fires in three homes and eight other homes filled with smoke as electric cables burned and melted.

Fortunately, there are no reports of injuries.
