ALBANY - Toilet paper probably doesn't come to mind when you think about holiday giving, but it did the trick in Albany on Friday.

First New York Federal Credit Union started collecting toilet paper around Thanksgiving at branches and the corporate office.

They built a forest of trees out of the 10,000 rolls donated, and knocked it down on Friday for fun.

The products will go to people who receive supplemental nutrition assistance, because they can't use those benefits to buy personal hygiene products.
