December 29, 2017 05:59 PM

Organizers of "First Night Saratoga" say the event will go on no matter the weather, but make sure you are prepared for extreme cold.

Over 1,000 runners will take part in the "First Night 5K" at Skidmore College. They should make sure all exposed skin is covered.

The children's parade will still happen, but the Lake Avenue School will be open so the kids can quickly get indoors.

There will be outdoor heaters in front of Saratoga Arts and in the NBT Bank parking lot.

Spectators should grab a hot beverage and huddle close to friends for the fireworks at midnight.

Organizers of "First Night Bethlehem" say cold temps won't stop them either. All events will proceed as planned, including the fireworks to kick it all off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
