Former Rensselaer County District Attorney Joel Abelove has been cleared of misconduct in the investigation into the death of Edson Thevenin.

The incident stems back four years to 2016.

Abelove brought the case to a grand jury just five days after the shooting.

Prosecutors had alleged he failed to present certain evidence, and quickly cleared the officer involved.

Meanwhile, protestors gathered outside the courthouse calling for Abelove's conviction.
