Former SUNY Poly head being sentenced in bid rigging case

The former head of SUNY Poly is due in federal court in New York City Tuesday to learn his fate.

Alain Kaloyeros was convicted in July of rigging bids for state funded contracts.

His month long trial shed a spotlight on how state contracts, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, were awarded for projects in Syracuse and Buffalo.

The sentencing takes place at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Manhattan and NewsChannel 13 will be there.
