Friendly's shutters East Greenbush, Bennington locations

Friendly's has closed six more restaurants in New York and New England, including two in our area.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star report the Friendly's in East Greenbush and Bennington closed on Monday. The Friendly's in Rutland also closed.

Friendly's parent company says the locations were not able to deliver "the customer experience that we are working to create."

The closures leave what was once a ubiquitous chain that could be found almost anywhere, with just seven locations remaining in our area -- including Troy, Johnstown, Clifton Park, Queensbury, Wilton, Pittsfield and Lee.
