The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department is warning of a phone scam.

The scammers manipulate the caller ID to come up with the actual Fulton County Sheriff Department’s phone number – (518) 736-2100.

They say a caller with a heavy southern accent identifies himself as Sgt. Devayne from the Warrant Division – and asks people to call back at (518) 723-5121.

The second number leads to a recording, asking you to leave your name and number.

The best thing to do – don’t give any personal information – and just hang up.
