New York State is getting nearly a million dollars from the Federal Government to study the health concerns associated with toxic chemicals in the water.
The $900,000 grant will support testing on chemicals like PFOA, found in Hoosick Falls drinking water.
Those chemicals also have been found in Newburgh and Suffolk County and have been linked to certain cancers and other serious health problems.
