Funeral services were taking place on Wednesday for the Rev. Thomas Connery from Glenville.

He was swept away by raging floodwaters in Herkimer County last Thursday night.

Bishop Edward Scharfenberger was planning to lead the mass for Connery at Immaculate Conception, the church in Glenville where Connery had served as pastor for 17 years.
