'Stranger Things' actress from Niskayuna honored

CLIFTON PARK - There was a special honor for a young Capital Region actress who delivered a great performance in the third season of the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things."

Gabriella Pizzolo, who played Suzie-Poo in the show, was in Clifton Park on Wednesday receiving a state Senate proclamation from Senator Jim Tedisco.

The young talent has already been on Broadway - starring in "Matilda" and in "Fun House." However, some are calling her song in "Stranger Things" a breakout performance.

Next month, she will begin her junior year at Niskayuna High School.
