Garage sales are something many people look forward to this time of year.
The Capital Region is home to the annual World's Largest Garage Sale after all.
But garage sales are not in phase one of the governor's reopening plan. It's still unclear if they are even included in phase two.
With not much to do, many people have taken advantage of cleaning their homes and have things they want to get rid of. Plus, some could use the extra cash.
Megan Lennon of New York Mills, told NewsChannel 13’s NBC affiliate in Utica, "I just enjoy the community part of it, sometimes you get to talk to people, meet them and see what they're up to or what joy you had in your treasures now they're going to take home. College students who are trying to fill that first apartment might be looking for stuff as well so it's always fun to see why they're purchasing some things.”
The governor's office is responsible for updating the guidance on when garage sales will be allowed to move forward. Updates from the governor’s office can be found by clicking here.
