Trio facing upgraded charges in Fort Plain homicide

Three men -- Garry Sweet, Eric Rivera, and Aaron Cockfield are now facing upgraded charges in the death of 29-year-old Joshua Laveck of Fort Plain.

Sweet and Rivera are now charged with murder. Cockfield is charged with criminal facilitation.

Laveck was found dead on his front porch on Division Street around 10 a.m. on June 29. State police have not yet said how he died.

All three men were being arraigned Thursday in the town of Minden Court.
