A trial could begin next July for the three defendants charged in last year's deadly shooting.

The state intends to hold a single trial in the case against Gary Linen, Carey Pilot and Josaiah Bynum.

A hearing on a motion to do that is scheduled for December.

Jones was in a parked car last October when she was struck in the head by a bullet during an alleged exchange of gunfire between the three defendants.

All three have been charged with one count of first-degree murder and other charges.
