SARATOGA SPRINGS - The Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs expects to be closed for at least the next month.

The hotel says a water main break flooded their basement and affected several essential services.

Seventy of the 94 people working there have been temporarily laid off.

Guests who want to keep their reservations are being moved to the Saratoga Casino Hotel.

The Roosevelt Baths and Spa will remain open.
