Glens Falls stabbing suspect released from hospital

The Glens Falls man suspected in Friday night's stabbing is out of the hospital and now behind bars.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star report Nicholas Hamel, 19, was taken to jail Sunday. He was treated for knife wounds and other injuries suffered in the brawl that left Charles Werner dead.

Hamel and Skylar Phillips, 19, are charged with first-degree manslaughter and assault.

Police say the stabbing happened after a drug deal gone bad.
