LEBANON, Va. - How far would you go to save your dog? A young boy from Lebanon, Virginia set the bar to a whole new level.
Bryson Kliemann is a die-hard Pokémon fanatic.
He was organizing his playing cards and noticed his dog, Bruce, had fallen sick.
Bruce was rushed to Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services, and diagnosed with parvo. It's a highly contagious dog virus. The treatment cost is nearly $700.
It's a price the family could not afford to pay, and a puppy Bryson says he couldn't afford to lose.
Aware of his parents' financial situation, Bryson used his love for Bruce and his passion for Pokémon to take matters into his own hands.
He began selling his Pokémon cards on the side of the road.
He made $65 the first night before his parents found out via a photo texted to them.
That's when things really took off.
