BALLSTON SPA – The Harvest Party to kick off the 29th season of scaring people begins Friday for the Double M Haunted Hayrides.

"We have over 100 actors here that jump out, get you, every way they can," owner Leo Martin told us on NewsChannel-13 Thursday morning. "They're coming from all directions," he said of his monsters, "Look up, look down, be careful."

They have nine hayrides that each run for about 30 minutes followed by four haunted walk-through attractions in Brutality, the deep woods compound of a tortuous family. There’s also The Last Inn, with a vicious staff, Jingle Hell, with creepy Kris Kringle, and Maximum Outage, a total darkness experience.

It ends Nov. 1 with "Extreme Night" that is different, darker and you need to sign a waiver and be over 18. It is recommended that you make reservations.

Said one ghost: "Guest satisfaction is our top priority…we're quite transparent."
