Health Beat: Alcoholism

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism reports nearly one-third of American adults in the United States have abused alcohol at some point in their lives. But only about 20 percent seek treatment. That study, done in 2015, also found a significant increase in alcohol abuse over the last decade. So what's fueling the increase? What are the barriers to treatment and how can we, as a community, help turn this around?
