ALS is a progressive neuro-degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord -- and it's fatal. So when the disease struck Michael Casey, his family went into action and hasn't stopped -- even after Mike died. He was just 39. The family didn't quit, now taking an active role in raising money to find a cure.
