Health Beat: Latest HIV Treatments

It's estimated 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV, but about 15 percent of them don't know they're infected. That's a problem. An estimated 38,700 Americans became newly infected with HIV in 2016. Those are the latest numbers from HIV.gov. A diagnosis today is far different than a decade ago thanks to new drugs. Moreover, there's treatment to prevent infecting a partner who's not positive.
