SCHENECTADY - A preliminary hearing for the mother of a baby found dead in Schenectady has been pushed back. Heaven Puleski appeared in court Monday, but a judged delayed her hearing until next Wednesday.

She's charged with tampering with evidence, concealment of a corpse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say based on statements she gave to investigators, the child's body found on State Street is her son Rayen.

Court documents show police believe she put the baby's body in a plastic bag and then hid the bag in a grassy area.

The child's cause of death has not yet been determined.
