Man sentenced for 2014 murder

A man was sentenced Friday for a 2014 murder.

Hector Abreu received 40 years to life in prison for killing Angel Carrion.

The murder happened on the front porch of Carrion’s Main Street home.

Witnesses at the time said the two men were in a gang and had been fighting.

Abreu is also serving time for a shooting that happened four months later, before he was caught at a home in Amsterdam.
