A business owner from South Glens Falls was sentenced Monday afternoon in Saratoga County Court. Sherrie Burton will spend three to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to grand larceny.

She took more than $1 million in deposits and down payments from more than 40 customers and never provided them with their modular homes.

Prosecutors say Burton used the money as if it was her own, visiting Turning Stone casino and shopping on Amazon and the Home Shopping Network.
