Lansingburgh homicide leaves quiet community on edge

LANSINGBURGH - A quiet neighborhood in Lansingburgh is reeling, rocked by a homicide.

A 19-year-old African-American woman was shot dead at the corner of 4th Avenue and 111th Street Tuesday morning. Police say she is not from the area.

They cannot release her identity yet, because her family needs to be notified.

Right now, police don't think the crime was random.

All roads in the area have since reopened.
