Four people honored in Amsterdam for saving spinning instructor's life

AMSTERDAM - Alpin Haus Fitness in Amsterdam was honored Friday morning with a heart hero award for saving a spinning instructor's life.

The American Heart Association honored the business for being CPR and AED ready. It also honored four people in the class for successfully resuscitating a spinning instructor after he collapsed during class.


Jack Mewhorter told NewsChannel 13 on Friday that because of their quick actions, he suffered no brain damage or other side effects.

After surgery, he's now returned to his normal daily activities.
