HOOSICK FALLS – Hoosick Falls will get $2 million from the state to help the village recover from flooding.
Back in July, historic rainfall in a few short hours caused the Woods Brook to overflow. Up to $1 million will be made available to remove 13 buildings damaged by the flooding.
The other $1 million will go towards restoring the flood plain, widening the brook, creating wetlands and installing bigger culverts.
