Hudson Falls man accused of nearly hitting family with car

QUEENSBURY - A Hudson Falls man is facing several charges after police say he nearly hit a family with his car.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office says they got calls Sunday morning that 24-year-old David Smyer intentionally drove at and nearly hit a family of four while they were walking across the parking lot at the Aviation Mall.

Deputies say they located Smyer's car and pulled him over.

They say while interviewing him, he became agitated and attacked the officers. They say they had to use a Taser to subdue him.
Both officers are expected to be okay.
