Ichabod Crane superintendent to resign after DWI arrest

May 22, 2019 05:05 PM

Ichabod Crane Superintendent Michael Vanyo will not be returning after a DWI arrest last month.

The school board says it reached agreement with Vanyo. He will voluntarily resign effective June 30.

Between now and then, he will work with the district from a remote location to help ease the transition.

For now, Assistant Superintendent Suzanne Guntlow will continue serving as acting superintendent.
