Name of driver involved in fatal Pittsfield accident released

Police have released the name of the driver of a tractor-trailer who struck and killed a man in Pittsfield on Monday night.      

Pittsfield police say Matthew Osak was behind the wheel.    


The 34-year-old is from Lee, Massachusetts.    

Police say around 7 p.m., Osak turned left into the driveway of a construction business on Cheshire road.    

They say he hit a 74-year-old man walking in that driveway.    

The man died.     

His name has still not been released.
